A Simple Story
Kindred Species is here to spread a special kind of joy.
There is a unique fulfillment that comes from cultivating relationships with animals. The fact is, in our humble opinion, that animals make human lives better.
We live in a unique region, where we are privileged to live alongside a wide variety of pets, livestock, and wildlife. We are doubly privileged to have vibrant, curious, and busy (human) neighbors everywhere. This combination is producing amazing and inspiring stories of human-animal relationships (we call them "bonds"). If it walks, swims, or flies... someone in our community is passionate about it.
Jenae and Margo come from very different backgrounds and professional worlds. They have different skill sets and personal histories. They, in fact, did not know each other until about 30 minutes before they decided to create Kindred Species. They are Exhibit A for how this subject brings people together.
The beauty in this project is that it is a simple story. A community of people who recognize the value of inter-species relationships. Two gals who want to share the joy of it all.
And in the event of an awkward pause, reach for an animal anecdote.
We talk about it all the time, anyway. Time to write about it.
